DocsBaby doesn't process payments or hold your bank details, but scammers do sometimes impersonate real, trusted brands, ours included. A few minutes reading this could genuinely save you real money, so please don't skip it.
Protect your account
Please take the time to read this, especially if anyone ever contacts you claiming to be DocsBaby.
- Never share your login details with anyone. Your email and password are yours alone, not even someone you trust should have them. If your login details are ever shared, leaked, or handed over, we won't be able to undo whatever happens to your account after that, so this one really matters.
- We will never ask you for your password, OTP, or login details. Not by phone call, SMS, WhatsApp, or email, not ever, for any reason. If a message claiming to be from DocsBaby ever asks for these, please know for certain, it isn't really us. Don't reply, and don't click anything in it.
- Be careful with any "special offer" or urgent message claiming to be from DocsBaby. Scammers often impersonate real, trusted brands with fake discounts or fake urgent warnings, things like "your account will be suspended" or "verify now to keep your plan", specifically to pressure people into acting fast without thinking it through. If something creates urgency and asks you to click, take a breath and pause first, a real message will still be real a few minutes from now.
- Please never share your bank account number, card details, UPI PIN, or OTP with anyone, over a call, message, or email, no matter who they say they are. No genuine service, DocsBaby included, will ever need your UPI PIN or OTP to help you with anything. Anyone asking for one isn't who they claim to be.
- Take a second look and make sure you're on the real DocsBaby site before entering anything. Scammers sometimes set up lookalike websites with addresses that look almost right at a glance. If you reached DocsBaby through a link in a message rather than typing it yourself or using your own bookmark, it's worth double-checking the address bar before signing in.
- Try to use a password for DocsBaby that you don't reuse anywhere else. If another site you use is ever breached, reused passwords are the first thing scammers try elsewhere. A password just for here means a leak somewhere else can't put your invoices and customer data at risk too.
- When in doubt, don't act on the message, just go directly to the app instead. If something feels off, a call, a text, a link, close it and open DocsBaby yourself the way you normally do, rather than through whatever you were just sent. If it was genuinely real, it'll still be there waiting for you.
- Please sign out if you've used DocsBaby on a shared or borrowed device. It's easy to forget on a shop assistant's phone or a shared computer, but leaving yourself signed in is an open door for whoever uses that device next.
- If you signed in with Google or Facebook, it's worth keeping that account secure too. Your DocsBaby account is tied to it, so a strong password and the usual alertness to phishing there protects your DocsBaby account as well, not just the login itself.
