| Data | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Email address, display name (from Google/Facebook sign-in or email sign-up) | Firebase Authentication, DocsBaby's servers |
| Account record (email, plan status) | Firestore database, DocsBaby's servers |
| Invoice and bill history, saved clients, signature block, monthly usage count | Your own device only, in your browser's local storage. Not currently sent to DocsBaby's servers. |
Because your invoice and client data lives on your device, DocsBaby's operator cannot currently see the contents of the invoices or bills you create, or who your clients are, unless you choose to share that information directly (for example, through Support).
DocsBaby does not request your bank details, PAN, or Aadhaar. It does not track your location. It does not sell your data to advertisers, because it doesn't have an advertising business.
DocsBaby uses Google Firebase (Google Cloud) to handle sign-in and store account records. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, those platforms handle that authentication step under their own privacy policies.
Your account record is kept as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and its record yourself from the My account page. Data stored on your own device stays there until you clear it, which you can also do from that page, or until you clear your browser's storage yourself.
You can view, correct, or delete your account details at any time from My account. If you'd rather do this by contacting us directly, see Support.
As DocsBaby adds features, particularly if invoice data moves from your device to DocsBaby's servers (a planned future change), this policy will be updated to reflect that honestly before it happens, not after.
See the Support page.
