This is a working draft, not a lawyer-reviewed document. It's written in plain language to set honest expectations while DocsBaby is new. Before this app is taking real payments at scale, get this reviewed by an actual lawyer familiar with Indian IT and consumer-protection law. Don't treat this page as legal cover.

What DocsBaby is

DocsBaby is a tool for creating GST invoices and simple cash bills. It runs in your browser. It is built and operated by an individual developer in India, not a registered company, as of this writing.

What DocsBaby is not

DocsBaby is not a chartered accountant, a tax advisor, or a substitute for one. It does not verify that the GST rates, HSN/SAC codes, or tax treatment you enter are correct for your business. Getting your tax details right is your responsibility, not DocsBaby's.

Your account

You need to sign in to use DocsBaby. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

Your data

Your invoice and bill history, saved clients, and signature details are currently stored on your own device, in your browser, not on DocsBaby's servers. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, that history does not carry over automatically. This is explained further on the Security page.

Free and paid plans

DocsBaby currently offers a free plan (15 invoices or bills a month) and a paid plan (100 a month, priced separately). Online payment for the paid plan is not fully live yet. Pricing may change; if it does, this page and the pricing shown in the app will be updated.

No guarantees

DocsBaby is provided as-is, without guarantees that it will be error-free, always available, or fit for any particular purpose. It's an early-stage product built by a small team. Things may break; when they do, the intent is to fix them quickly, not to pretend they didn't happen.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, DocsBaby and its operator are not liable for losses arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to incorrect tax filings, lost data, or business losses. Use DocsBaby as a convenience tool, not as your sole record-keeping or compliance system for anything that matters financially or legally.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the product changes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
